A seasoned wood artist of many years, Hal specializes in unique furniture. His real gift is a deep understanding of proportion; all of his pieces are extremely comfortable, as well as aesthetic. He works in several hard woods; but prefers Oak, Cherry, Maple and Walnut. Most of his most recent work has been in the Arts-and-Crafts style as well as some very Modern Minimalist pieces. He does a great deal of historical research to understand how furniture can last and age with grace. Hal’s work is always strong, subtle and beautiful.
